SHADES OF LIGHT
Are we from the same planet?
Do you believe in dreams?
When you woke from my whispers in your slumber,
Did you ask God what it means?
In between the seconds they happen,
Can you see perfect alignment; fate?
That there are ways of understanding,
We collided on time, years too late.
Curious to understand this-
The look in your eyes,
The same in mine.
To view one consonance after another,
To watch the harmonies fall in line.
I’d like to be beside you,
Your other source, fist in the fight,
For when I stand in your shadow,
I walk in your infinite shades of light.
FAN OF ROMANCE
If we could choose gardens to roam in,
There’s a hunch we’d choose the same one.
In my mind there’s a still field you’re roaming,
Yet in my hands I’m holding none.
What if you were never known?
What then would I have to show?
Last night you held me in a dream,
Arm in arm down an empty street.
It was a dark night,
Not a soul in sight,
Nothing but the misty whisper from your lips,
Brushes of our icy fingertips.
The clip of our heels
Smirks and sighs,
The unquenchable glow
Of ‘you and I’.
SUPERNATURART
Most time I am a passenger,
A conduit,
Enlightened by each singular idea.
One folding into the next,
In simple flow and excellence.
Foreign and familiar in feeling,
New yet before used.
An old friend bearing prize gifts
At which I draw upon,
Smirking and amused.
Wherein lies the genius?
In the creator or the muse?
In the unheard language between them-
Spirit,
Who floats to my mind in ruse.
